Brooklyn Bowl is fast becoming a great place for me to catch great shows. Once again this was the case a few weeks ago when I headed there to catch a show headlined by The New Tarot & featuring The U.S. Americans.
I first saw The U.S. Americans last August at Bowery Ballroom & was very entertained by them. So when I saw they were playing this bill as well, I was once again excited to see a great set led by lead singer Jeff Weiss.
The first time around, I noted my love for him being a wrestling fan as he was rocking an awesome pair of Bret The Hitman Hart pants. This time around we had similar looking pants & an Asuka t-shirt who clearly Vince McMahon is not ready for but that is a subject for another day!
The band once again put on a fantastic set of 7 songs which featured some newer material along with a cut from their 2017 album Greatest Hits. We were also treated to a fun cover of the Batman theme song & the finale being a cover of the Led Zeppelin song The Ocean. Sadly I was hoping to hear FCK the KGB.
Lastly I must give total props to Jeff Weiss who might be my favorite artist to photograph as I love someone who will work the camera for you like a boss to get some awesome shots!
