Say Sue Me 03-13-19 (Live @ Valhalla)
The best part of music festivals is discovering new bands that will forever become favorites of yours. One of those bands to become that for me is the South Korea based band Say Sue Me. After hearing their song Just Joking Around and instantly falling in love with it, I knew I had to see them.
They originally were scheduled for two shows including my first night in town at Cheer Up Charlies. I was able to catch the tail end of their set on the indoor stage that night but not where I could get any footage. So I knew nothing would stop me from catching a full set the next night at Valhalla.
The band had an excellent turnout as they put on an amazing 9 song set that showcased their ability to nicely blend 90’s alternative, indie rock, dream pop & surf rock all in a must see package.
They opened with a fantastic version of But I Like You from their 2017 album Where We Were Together. My Problem, from their 2017 self-titled debut album outside of South Korea, also hit the spot for me.
Some other standout performances included B Lover, I Know I’m Kind Of Boring & my personal favorite Just Joking Around. I was so glad they ended the set with my favorite song as I found it to be the ultimate way to end what was one of my favorite sets of the entire festival!
