Alice Phoebe Lou 03-13-19 (Live @ Seven Grand)
The best times in life are often the ones that were completely unplanned. This definitely tends to ring true when it comes to music festivals. While I was running around from show to show on my second day in Austin, I got a text from my good friend Leigh who told me to head to Seven Grand as I had to see this artist named Alice Phoebe Lou.
Now from my time knowing Leigh, I know she has a 100% track record of introducing me to some great new talent. I am proud to say that her perfect record is still intact as I absolutely loved Alice Phoebe Lou!
Alice headlined the Wunderbar: German Music Night SXSW Showcase with a moving & powerful set featuring a number of songs from her latest album Paper Castles which was released earlier this month.
I absolutely loved the breathtaking honesty & rawness behind her lyrics & music. She clearly was enjoying herself & was in her happy place performing for a jam packed audience who loved every second of her set. What I really enjoy about Alice is she clearly enjoys being in the moment while performing without feeling the need to have everything be perfect or come across as fake while doing so.
After seeing her fabulous set, I can see why the room was packed from front to back to see her. I look forward to checking out more of her music & hopefully seeing her live again in the very near future!
