The indie music scene is pretty much bare as you would imagine in a city such as Miami. So when I happened to find out that a band in the scene from up north (and one I actually know and am a huge fan of!) was making an actual appearance in the city, I absolutely had to be there. So recently I made sure nothing would stop me from heading to Space Mountain to see the multi-talented trio A Deer A Horse.
The band powered through with their big sound from the opening riffs of Smokejumper from their June 2019 EP Everything Rots That Is Rotten. This was followed by a newer song called Bitter which just might become my new favorite song from the band. The set also featured newer material in Panic and Brute Force, both which featured that heavy signature sound that they have mastered. We were finished off by a rousing performance of fan favorite Double Wide which sounded as good as it ever has.
If you get a chance to ever catch A Deer A Horse perform, I highly suggest you do so as it is a can’t miss experience that will leave you coming back for more & more!
