The Dig 03-14-14 (Live @ Brooklyn Night Bazaar)
I was super excited to see The Dig once the announcement was made for this show. I must admit it felt like a spur of the moment last minute kind of deal. However I did not care as the one thing I knew is that it had been way too long since I saw them at Knitting Factory in what feels like ages ago.
The band delivered an awesome performance that completely transported me to another world with breath taking vocals & instrument mastering. The set featured a great mix of my personal favorites along with ones I had never heard before. A brief sample of songs played included:
- I Already Forgot Everything You Said
- All Tied Up
- Break The Silence
- You and I Lost Control
- Angeline
The Dig’s set perfectly captured why I love them so much & highly suggest that you need to see them as they have raw talent that is hard to find these days. Anyone can pick up a guitar & sing… or play another instrument. However it is the raw soul & emotion that they deliver in each song that resonates with not only me but everyone else in the audience.
I can’t wait until they play NYC again & when they do, I highly suggest you come hear & feel what I am talking about!
