After a fantastic set by Our Lady Peace & a thrilling & exhilarating set by Bush, it was time for the main event of the evening as Live hit the stage at the Klipsch Amphitheater at Bayfront Park in Miami.
The crowd was extremely loud voicing their support as the band hit the stage for the opening song The Dam at Otter Creek. This was followed up by very strong performances of All Over You and Selling The Drama.
The packed house was treated to a solid cover of REM’s Losing My Religion which sounded like the original but with a little extra flavor that only Ed could throw in.
One of the best moments of the night was the crowd reaction when the opening notes to The Dolphin’s Cry hit as you could tell it was a huge fan favorite. This was followed up by another solid cover as we were treated to one of the many Rolling Stones classic songs, Paint It Black which lead into rousing performances of Lakini’s Juice and I Alone.
The place went crazy when the final song of the evening hit which of course was the forever loved Lightning Crashes which was performed with a renewed sense of vigor & passion that the crowd ate up.
Overall, Live did a great job honoring the 25 year anniversary of Throwing Copper with a standout set from start to finish. If you get the chance, make it out to one of the shows on The ALTimate Tour as all 3 bands are in peak form & will leave you with a memorable night that you will never forget.
